As part of the Bring It All Home series of events in Paisley, Tim Alter of Alterledger will be presenting a free session sharing tips and advice on maximising your earnings and keeping up to date with your accounts.
Bring It All Home is three day spectacular for artists, musicians, performers and anyone who just loves music. The conference is a celebration of Scotland as a creative nation. The three day event is run by Renfrewshire Council as part of the push towards Paisley’s bid for UK City of Culture 2021.
The Managing My Money session will cover a selection from the items below in straightforward language. There won’t be time to cover everything in detail so if there is a particular topic that you would like to hear about, please use the contact form at the bottom of the page to let Tim know. The intention is that you will learn enough to be able to complete your own accounts and save on accountancy fees!
The following panel can be used to book a free ticket for the event at 1:00 on 17th September 2015 in Paisley Town Hall.
The Musicians’ Union produces an annual handbook for members. Before you pay a penny to an accountant you should open up your copy of the MU handbook and turn to the Tax Savings Guide. This section has lots of useful information about organising your accounts and the expenses you may be able to claim. The MU also runs seminars from time to time in Scotland (and elsewhere) to provide additional support to members.
